Thank you for your help in planning, designing, and remodeling our Lindal home with new materials from Lindal. It all came together beautifully, and the additions are indistinguishable from the original structure. We love the large outdoor porch, especially when cool mountain breezes stir in the evening. And on the opposite side of the house, we added a studio that comfortably contains both a large table for painting and seating for watching TV and movies. The entire home looks out on trees and mountains and has a wonderful openness—we especially love watching changing cloud patterns and colorful sunsets from anywhere on the deck or inside our home.
We were delighted with Lindal when the original home was built 12 years ago and just as satisfied with the additions just completed. We love the design of our Lindal home. Tom West introduced us to West Eppley, who designed our house for us. Our contractor said that this was his favorite Lindal home of the many he has built. When people see our house and they ask what Lindal design we used, we say proudly that this is the Wynn design. Tom came out to the house frequently. We saw Tom and Debbie enough to become friends.

Lindal is the way to go. We picked a plan and then Tom West saw to it that ALL of our needs, wants and desires were incorporated. Our finished product is everything and more that we dreamed. Carolina Custom Homes was challenged in doing a long-distance creation. Tom did not miss a beat, even though miles separated us. With just a few site visits Tom was able to manage our construction with phone communication with the contractor. Every detail was explored. Additional items were shipped quickly. Thanks for your considerable assistance in building what is truly our dream home. Jennifer says that, "Living here is like being on vacation every day."
We love our home. I think everyone that sees our home is left somewhat speechless at the beauty of the Lindal product.
Since Jennifer and I first came to see you in May of 2002, we felt even before talking with some of your past clients, that you would be a good person to work with in building our first and maybe last home. Looking back over our home building project, I believe that working with Carolina Custom Homes is probably the single best decision we made.
Beginning a 6,000 square foot home construction project for the first time is somewhat of an anxious experience in terms of unknown costs and contractors. I would not have expected at the outset that you would take the personal interest in the final completion of our home that you have. I thought that after we bought the home package, that I might see you a few times and talk with you a few times and that would be it. Through the construction process, I would bet that you have been up to our house, over an hour and a half from your office, more than two dozen times and for a couple of years I have probably talked to you or your office several times a week.
I believe that you really go the extra mile for your clients. I know you did for us. Without a doubt, your efforts on our behalf with Lindal Cedar Homes, made our experience far better than it would have been otherwise. Lindal is fortunate to have you represent them. Thanks also to Debbie, who I have also enjoyed working with and who has happily persecuted and proselytized Lindal on my behalf.
One of the things that surprised me during the construction process was that when we had additional projects and needed additional cedar materials, that the Lindal materials were usually less expensive, even with freight and crating costs, than we could purchase locally. But we also found that we could not get the quality of materials locally, at any price, that we got from Lindal. The unmatched quality of cedar is definitely what separates Lindal from all other locally purchased products.

Somewhere in the back of my mind we envisioned waterfront living
with glorious views and an environment suitable for my retirement.
I started searching for the home which met my criteria, and did not
require huge sums for a custom design. I received a Lindal catalog,
and within days of visiting Carolina Custom Homes had a basic plan
in mind. After several quick sketches and a meeting with Tom and his
design staff, the plan was finished.
It still amazes me how simple it was to take some basic Lindal designs
and create the home I wanted. The simplicity of the Lindal design
made it an ideal starting point for a custom home with virtually unlimited
choices.
Now that the project is complete, every moment in the home is an
adventure! Every step in the house offers beautiful lakefront views,
and a sense of spaciousness I still have a hard time believing. The
quality and thoroughness of the Lindal design is fully appreciated
when you walk through the home.
Tom West and his staff made the whole process a pleasure, especially
since I was living out of state. He watched over the project for me
as if it were his own house.
If I would ever build another home in the area, there is no doubt
that I would again go to Carolina Custom Homes for a Lindal design.
Our Lindal Cedar Home was just completed in November, 1999. We are
100% satisfied with Carolina Custom Homes. Beginning with our first
visit, the representatives were very courteous and knowledgeable,
and at no time during our many return visits did we feel any pressure
to purchase a home.
Once we made the decision to go with Carolina Custom Homes, Tom
West had many valuable suggestions to help us in deciding upon what
is now our finished home. Tom personally took us to several Lindal
Homes in the area that were under construction. We found this very
valuable in our decision-making process.
From start to finish, Tom was always available to answer any questions
and assist in solving any problems. Yes, there were obstacles, but
they were all overcome with no resistance and always to our complete
satisfaction.
It has been a pleasant experience in constructing this, our first

I like the natural look with cedar and stucco together. Cedar was
a must! I love the rustic look that cedar creates. Using your mirrored
windows, I can see "mother nature" all around me. They save money
because they are so energy efficient.
My home is so liveable—the beauty of my hardwood, tile and marble
floors are easy to care for.
Our designer, West Eppley, was most helpful. He was recommended by
our Lindal distributor, Mike Shell, of Carolina Custom Homes. He was
the greatest! He took my two pages of typed requests and a simple
drawing and came up with this beautiful home. I love all those roof
lines and skylights.

My husband and I had carefully considered the form that our new house
would take. We had always been drawn to log homes, with an emphasis
on the openness that post and beam construction allows.
When we saw the Originals book by Lindal, we knew this was our dream.
The beautiful solid cedar logs were the perfect compromise on which

Although the solid cedar walls do present unique construction issues,

we were to do it again we wouldn't change a thing! We especially love
the way you guided us through putting it all together. Even though
we live many hours away from your office, your frequent visits before,
during and after the process were invaluable. We find it hard to believe
that anyone can do it better than Carolina Custom Homes. We had the
best architect, the best Lindal dealer and staff, it's only natural
that we would end up with the most incredible and unique home in the
world.
The only bad part about building a Carolina Custom Home is once you're
finished we don't get to see you guys as much, so any time you're
in the area you know you don't need a special invitation to come on
by—we'd love to see you. We are truly two extremely happy and proud
