Dear Joe and all the folks at Eagle's View Cedar Homes and Cutting Edge Builders: Deb and I have just returned from a trip to visit the site and attend the annual Crowley Ranch Reserve Owners Meeting. It was very exciting to see all the progress on our new home in person. I have some knowledge of construction and was really impressed with the structural quality of the home. I was amazed at the attention that went into structural details, such as knocking down the crowns, and filling in the valleys of the wall studs to eliminate bowing when the dry wall goes on. It is clear your crews really take pride in their work. Even though there was a considerable investment in time spent by everyone during the design process looking at and fine tuning the plans, once the project started becoming a reality, improvements became apparent. The input and suggestions from you and all the subcontractors has been a tremendous help. Those suggestions have not only enhanced the home, they have saved a considerable amount of money.

What was even more impressive were the comments from our soon to be neighbors. All the neighbors have not only commented, but have been astounded on how hard all the crews have worked. Those closest to the project were thoroughly impressed with the courtesy displayed by the framing crew, who, wanting to start early in the morning, took the time to come by and ask if doing so would unduly disturb them. In my opinion, such courtesy is almost unheard of today. One comment in particular I would like to share with you came from my closest neighbor. He shared with me that he had appointed himself official inspector. He explained he walks to the job site almost daily, meets with the workers to get an update on what they hope to accomplish and looks over what they did the day before. In conclusion, he told me "you have the best built house out here". I do want you to know I have only passed on a few of the positive comments my neighbors have shared with me.

Starting and completing this project in absenteeism has been incomprehensible to most of my friends and colleagues. The reality however has been very enjoyable. Obviously not as enjoyable as actually being there would have been, but you have proven over and over again you are a man of your word. Simply put, you do what you will say you will do, and it's done right. You have kept me informed every step of the way with phone calls, emails, and photos. Despite increasing cost of fuel and gas, and shortages of building materials created by Katrina my project remains on time and on budget.
