A Lesson In Living Well
|
Reprinted from Timber Homes Illustrated, December 1996 If Wayne and Anita South were assigned a letter grade for the manner in which they embrace life, it would be an easy A+. Former educators, they bubble with enthusiasm for nearly everything, but especially for the cedar post-and-beam home tucked away in the forest just outside Hope, New Jersey. "A major view is the common denominator for these kind of homes," observes Wayne, "but we had this 22 acre parcel, and we wanted a home that reflected the surroundings and our interests." RIGHT: In spite of the generous size of the home, the Souths made every effort to make it blend with the surroundings. |
